TERMS & CONDITIONS

All amounts are quoted in United States Dollars (USD), unless stated otherwise.

 

Daily Rates

 

Daily rates are charged as follows: 

  • One hunting client accompanied by one professional hunter per day (1:1).

  • Two hunting clients accompanied by one professional hunter per day (2:1).

  • Non-hunting observer per day per observer.

  • Daily Rates are specified in the final quote and booking confirmation.

Daily Rates include:

  • Accommodation.

  • Meals, soft drinks, bottled water and alcoholic beverages in moderation.

  • The service of a professional hunter/guide and the use of a hunting vehicle for hunting and game recovery purposes.

  • Trackers, skinners and the necessary field staff to hunt and recover game.

  • General hunting licenses and permits.

  • Field preparation of trophies.

  • Airport transfers from Port Elizabeth or East London.

  • VAT at 15% as applicable (does not apply to Trophy Fees).

  • Laundry services.

Daily rates exclude:​

  • Trophy fees (refer to current price list included with quote).

  • Special hunting licenses and permits as required (CITES etc.)

(Estimated costs will be included in final detailed quote and booking confirmation where applicable).

  • Accommodation and travel charges before and after contracted period of the safari.

  • Hire of rifle/s and ammunition (available at nominal fee if pre-arranged).

  • Packing, dipping, taxidermy, documentation and exportation of trophies from South Africa.

  • Firearms import/export permits.

  • All additional costs related to the client’s change of plans during the safari.

  • Travel costs related to specialised hunts not listed on the price list (i.e. air charters, vehicle hire and transfers).

  • Gratuities for professional hunter (average USD100 per day per hunting client, this should be increased if it is a dangerous game hunt).

  • Gratuities for lodge staff and trackers (at the client’s discretion).

 

Payment

  • Minimum hunting period is seven (7) days or the equivalent cost thereof.

  • A deposit of 50% of the total quoted amount is required in order to secure and confirm a reservation unless otherwise stated by the outfitter. Reservations will be confirmed in writing.

  • The balance of the daily rates and trophy fees are payable 30 days before departure.

  • All other/extra charges and fees (additional trophy fees or excursions) incurred during the safari must be paid in full (USD) at the termination of the hunt. 

  • If the safari is cancelled by the client a month from the commencement of the safari the 50% deposit will be returned to the client at the Rand value which it was received at. No refund will be made 21 days or less from the commencement of the safari. The booking may be shifted to an alternative date for a year from the commencement of the safari. (A substitute hunter may be acceptable).

  • Animals wounded and lost will be billed to the client’s account. Please rest assured that every possible effort will be made to recover a wounded animal as soon as possible.

  • All safaris are subject to available quotas at the time of booking and early payments will receive priority.

  • A 4% transaction fee will be included in your invoice to cover taxes and transaction fees.

Liability

Whilst every effort is made by African Brothers Safari and the professional hunter/s or guide to ensure the safety of the client, no responsibility can be accepted for any illness, accident, injury or loss whatsoever suffered by the client whilst on safari with African Brothers Safari, or any expenses arising from such illness, accident, injury or loss.  Clients are responsible for their own individual health, travel, trip interruption and cancellation insurance’s and should contact their insurance broker or travel agent for quotations on available packages.  Furthermore, African Brothers Safari or the Professional Hunter will not accept any responsibility for trophies after its proper field preparation or personal goods left behind in camps, aircraft or vehicles.  The client certifies that he/she is in good health and has no physical limitations, which would prevent his/her safe participation in the safari or associated activities.  The client furthermore certifies that he/she has full knowledge of the nature and extent of the risk inherent in the participation in hunting safari activities and the rugged and harsh areas in which such activities often take place and that he/she is voluntarily assuming such risks. It is agreed by both African Brothers Safari/Professional Hunter/Guide and the client that this agreement shall be governed, interpreted and enforced pursuant to the Laws of the Country, State, Province and locality in which the safari takes place. If any person refuses to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by African Brothers Safari, the safari may be cancelled at any time.

 

Healthcare

At present, no compulsory vaccinations are required for entry into South Africa. We do however strongly recommend that all clients consult their regular Physician or a recognized Travel Clinic.

 

Value Added Tax (VAT)

Daily rates and quoted costs are inclusive of any and all taxes (value added tax, general sales tax etc.) imposed by the governing authority of the relevant area in which the hunt takes place.
